Nikki and Eric

I love my job.

Last night I was laying in bed and I had this great blog post all planned out in my head. Today, I don't remember it. But, I do remember thinking just how much I love my job. I seriously have the most awesome brides, grooms, and families to work with and I am still amazed at just how blessed I am. How many people do what they REALLY love?

My good friend Jessica asked me a few months ago if I had August 9th open because she was planning on taking her friends wedding pictures but had some other very important things come up. She wanted to know if I would be interested in helping her out. Of course I was! And, I am so glad that I did.

I met Nikki and Eric at a Whitecaps game last year but I have heard a lot about each of them. So, I felt like I already knew them when I arrived for their wedding. The wedding and reception took place at Engel Farms in Lawrence, MI. and they did a fabulous job. What a cool place to get married! It is an old farm-actually it is still a farm with horses and all. Very unique place and I had a great time there.

Nikki's dress was purchased from Memories Bridal and Evening wear in Kalamazoo, Mi. Ask for Joshua, he is great! She looked beautiful in it and it could not have been a more perfect dress for her.

It really was a beautiful day for a wedding. Mid 70's, slightly cloudy and a nice breeze. Awesome weather! Nikki and Eric's vows were so sweet and I just loved watching Eric as Nikki came down the aisle. That is my favorite part of the day. They were full of smiles and you could just tell they were having a great time and that the only thing that really mattered to them was that they were finally married and just so happy.

Nikki and Eric, it was great seeing you again. I am so happy for the both of you and I wish you many very happy years together. Thanks for letting me be a part of your day.

Here is a little teaser.
