I met Chad and Heather back in May when I shot their e-session and knew instantly that this couple was special. From the way they fell in love to the way they treated each other that day, you could tell that what they have is indeed true love.
I don't think I have ever seen a couple look at each other with such adoration as the way these two do. The whole day was about them and you could see it in their eyes. Don't get me wrong, there were MANY beautiful things at this wedding but Chad and Heather were by far the most beautiful thing there.
Sunday morning at church my mom asked me how the wedding went the day before. I was explaining that I had such a good time and telling her about some of the details. And, as I started explaining the love these two share, I started tearing up! I mean, who does that??? :o)
Anyway, I could go on and on about Chad and Heather....
We started the day at the Grand Valley State University Alumni House. It is beautiful! The girls got ready, Chad showed up soon after and Heather and Chad saw each other before the ceremony which makes the day run so smoothly.
After about an hour of bride and groom shots we added the wedding party in and then headed over to Bauer Chrisitian Reformed Church to meet up with their families.
The wedding was short and sweet but full of meaning. The bridal party took off in the Dutch Star for some party time and then off to the reception. I don't know what went on in that bus but everyone was in a really good mood when they got off it!
Donovan Wass of A Different Spin DJ's did a great job orchestrating the flow of events that night and had some killer music. And, I have to say that I have NEVER before seen such an awesome mother/ son dance. Oh my goodness, that was the coolest ever. I seriously am going to show these pictures to Carson someday and we are so skipping the mushy slow dance and getting down with it!
My friend Katie helped me out for the day. Katie has a great eye and is going to be very successful! She is starting up her own photography business but we both plan on having her help me out in the future till she gets so big she doesn't have time for little ole Summer. Thanks Katie for hanging out with me and I can't wait to do it again!
Here's a pic that Katie caught of me working!
Chad, Heather, your friends, and your family, I can not even explain the great time I had with you all on Saturday. Thank you for being so inviting, so giving and for being you. This truly was a day that I will remember for a long time!
Enjoy your sneak peek, have fun in Mexico, and don't forget about the slideshow at the bottom!
