Lauren & Josh=Forever in Love

I love October weddings. The rich colors, the cool temps, and the colorful landscape.

Josh and Lauren had the perfect day to get married. Mid October and in the 70's with nice sunny skies. Josh said that he has been praying for this weather for a whole year and that prayer was definitely answered.

Lauren was stunning. Her blue eyes were full of sparkle and she looked perfect. I am pretty darn sure that Josh thought the same thing.

The details were well thought out and beautiful. Designing Dreams did the flowers and they were GORGEOUS!

The day started at 2nd Allendale CRC which is literally 100 yards from my house. I felt funny driving there but I was not carrying all of my stuff that far! Josh and Lauren chose to see each other before the wedding so we had plenty of time to wander around finding some fun places to take pictures.

I knew a few of the people in the wedding party from Ron and Heidi's wedding last year so it was fun seeing them again. Everyone in the wedding party was awesome. They were all so nice, happy, and up for whatever! A good group of people, that is for sure.


After the ceremony we made a few stops for pictures and ended up in Grand Haven for some group shots on the beach. The lighting was beautiful and definitely allowed us to get some fun shots.

The reception was held at the Piano Factory in Grand Haven and I have to tell you that I have been looking forward to this wedding since the day we booked it. This was the same place I had my reception! Ryan and I go out there every year for our anniversary and have dinner at Portobellos and sneak upstairs to look at the banquet room. It was fun being inside it again. It brought back a lot of memories. As always the food was incredible.

Heidi Henion did a great job helping me throughout the day! Here is a picture of Heidi and her husband Ron. I have known Heidi all of my life and I had the honor of shooting their wedding last year. So, it is always fun to hang out with her.
