Watching them grow...

I feel so honored when asked to take someone's portrait year after year.

I first started photographing this family when their oldest son Owen was just one. Now look at how big he is! Since that time Gavin was added to the family and now I have been asked again to be a part of their families portraits.

This time we headed out to the beach and I think that was a big hit with the boys. I just love the energy that boys have. Watching them run up and down the beach, chasing seagulls, finding feathers... I could photograph them all day just doing the things that they love to do. Boys have such an adventerous spirit.

Of course we got a couple of family pictures in there too. Sometimes parents don't want their pictures taken because they just want to document the kids. But, parents are often times the ones left out of pictures because they are taking them. That is why it is so important to have family pictures done. Someday, your kids will want to look back at pictures and see their parents too!

Thanks Steve, Kathy, Owen and Gavin for hanging out with me this week and letting me take your pictures. I had a great time catching up and capturing just how cute your family is!
