Vegas!

I have been feeling a bit under the weather for the past week so I haven't been able to update you on my trip to Las Vegas for the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) conference that I attended. But, the sunshine and warm weather today has me feeling pretty good!

First off, let me tell you that I am NOT cut out for the "Vegas Party" lifestyle. I prefer good ole Allendale, Michigan. That is not to say that I didn't have any fun though! Because I had a blast! But, I also prefer to get sleep and I am so thankful my roommates did too.

The convention this year was awesome. I was able to meet some people that I have blog stalked for the past year and met some new friends along the way too! I went to some inspiring seminars, saw the latest and greatest at the trade show, went to the Photo LoveCat gala, had some late night dinners, met my favorite cab driver of all time, and had a photo shoot at the Vegas Neon Boneyard. And, out of the 12,000 attendees this year, I even saw quite a few GR photographers!

The last night I was there Ryan, Carson, and my in-laws drove from AZ to spend the night there. So I hung out with them and went to bed early with Carson since I was running on about 5-6 hours of sleep over the course of 2 days and I was exhausted! Carson loved Vegas. I swore that I would never bring my children there but I figured a couple of hours wouldn't hurt. And, he was fascinated with the helicopters, jets, mountains, and "christmas lights". It was fun watching him take it all in.

Here are some of the pictures from my shoot out at the Neon Boneyard. Every single one of the models was so much fun to work with. They were beautiful and had great personalities. It was so fun to be outdoors again using some natural light. My how I missed that!

At the bottom is a slideshow with more images. Gotta love me some Britney....

This beauty wasn't even there to model. She was there to watch her cousin who was modeling for us. Isn't she beautiful? Some of my favorite shots of the day were of her.

And of course, my friend Katie! Isn't she just so pretty?

I can't believe I missed seeing these! I waited and waited for you to get home, and they are JUST as fun as I thought they would be! I bet you had a blast! Great shots!
