Blueberries

I just LOVE blueberries! Every year I really look forward to fresh blueberries and usually eat way too many which is not a good thing on your stomach. However, they are very good for you so that always seems to be my excuse to eat just one more...

My friend Jessica's family owns an operates a blueberry farm down in Grand Junction. Thursday night my friend Amanda and I drove down to have dinner with Jess at Chinn/Chinns (which was fabulous!) and then over to her mom and dad's to pick some berries. Did you know that there are all kinds of different blueberries? Well, there are and I am hear to tell you that the best ones by far are called Blue Crop. I have tried the others and they do not even compare.

It was a really great night. It has been awhile since I have picked my own blueberries and I really don't remember them being so beautiful. There were colors of blue, purple, pink, and white. I found myself taking a lot of pictures of the blueberries as I got lost in just how beautiful they were.

Of course, we had plenty of fun. You get 2 girls out that have kids and one that has a child on the way and you just go crazy with good old fashioned silliness. The pictures speak for themselves.

Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Sullins for letting us pick some of your awesome blueberries and thanks Amanda and Jess for a great night out.

Amanda was having a hard time getting those blueberries to stay in place. Sorry dear, these were too good to pass up!

We had a contest to see who could pick the largest blueberry. Amanda won by far. Mine is pretty, right?

Jubilee Blueberry Farms. That's the place to go!
